We are equipped with the state-of-the-art in-house laboratory facilities, which are operating independently from the Nutrissa production facility, namely Lanka Standard Laboratory Services, (LSLS). This laboratory is capable of conducting analysis on a wider range of analytical requirements, such as Microbiological analysis, Chemical analysis of coconut and other food related items and analysis of water quality parameters.

Our laboratory facility is also equipped with a Research & Development unit, where new product developments and various other research activities are being carried out. All the areas of the laboratory are designed and the work is carried out in a manner which is in compliance with the highest international requirements.

The laboratory is also facilitated with strict safety standards. A team of fully dedicated well qualified laboratory staff is working around the clock in this laboratory facilitating the requirements of both online production analysis requests of Nutible Treeler (Pvt) Ltd , as well as the requirements to analyze the final products of our customers

We have a separate well equipped laboratory with modern technology for conducting research and development activities to enhance the quality of the food products, develop new products and to increase our product range. Our laboratory is capable of conducting a wider range of researches for developing the coconut related food products.

Our research team is dynamic and well qualified to drive forward our research and development activities until achieve our targets. Main research works are going on for the development of virgin coconut oil based products, coconut milk based products, coconut water based products, coconut kernel based products and the respective value added products.

Our aim is to contribute for the food product range at Nutrissa Treeler (Pvt) Ltd by constantly developing marketable high quality new products as well as to improve the nutritional quality and food safety standards of the existing products.

The researches that are conducted at the moment:

  • Substitutory coconut products for dairy.
  • Studies on nutritional and functional properties of defatted coconut kernel.
  • Studies on health and nutritional benefits of coconut water.
  • UHT skim milk production and its quality.
  • Utilization of coconut milk processing waste as a Low-Cost Mercury Sorbent.
  • Development of fresh cheese made from coconut milk in combination with cow’s milk.
  • Coconut water preservation and processing.
  • Formulation and characterization of bread using coconut- pulp flour and wheat flour composite with addition of xanthan-gum. Physicochemical properties of virgin coconut oil extracted from different processing methods.
  • Study of antioxidant activity and physicochemical properties of coconut milk.
